Here are some final thoughts about tomorrows WordPress Workshop.
First, the doors open at 10AM and we expect all workshops to be complete 5PM.
The workshop is being held on the UNR campus at the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center. This Google Map provides details on the building, parking and on-campus food and beverage providers. As noted on the map, the meters are not enforced on the weekends, so save your quarters.
There is no food or beverages allowed in the auditorium, so please fill-up before you arrive. There will not be any food or beverages available in the Knowledge Center, but the building right next door has ample supply of food, beverages and other convenience items.
Joe Crowley Student Union is only about 100 feet away, and there you will find a Starbucks (opens at 8AM), Keva Juice (opens at 10AM) and a convenience store (opens at 10AM). On the second floor, you will find an Einstein Brothers Bagel, Port of Subs, Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen and a Panda Express (these are all usually open before 10:30).
We anticipate the lunch break to begin at 12:30 and reconvene at 1:15 or 1:30 (depending on how long everyone want to break for lunch). Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen does have vegetarian and gluten-free options available, and Panda Express does not use MSG in their offerings.
If you want to setup a website from scratch or improve your existing website during the afternoon workshop, please bring your laptop with you. The morning session will not require a laptop, but laptops and tablets are welcome.
We recommend bringing whatever you need to take notes. There will be a lot of great information shared. That being said, we will have a thread in the discussion forum dedicated to all the resources provided at the workshop.
We will allow last minute registration at the door (between 10-10:15), and we will start as soon as we get everyone in the building and into the auditorium (no earlier than 10:15 and no later than 10:30). We have a full schedule planed and we look forward helping you take the next step, regardless of where you are in your WordPress progression.
If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this email or call me.
