If you are ready to take the next step with WordPress (setup your own website you can easily manage, improve your existing WordPress site, improve your WordPress design or development skills, etc.), then join us Saturday morning, May 5th at the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center (View 2012 Reno-Tahoe WordCamp Map).
We’ll being doing a two-track WordShop (WordPress Workshop).
Topics include: WordPress Best Practices, Setup & Optimization, Developing Themes, Plugins, Advanced Administration and Enhanced Interoperability.

Beginning Users: Learn to setup a WordPress site from scratch using either free or paid (commercial) hosting. You can have a new site setup, before you leave.
Intermediate Users: Learn how to optimize your current WordPress to get better (and more) results with your current installation.
Beginning Designers/Developers: Learn about customizing WordPress Themes & Plugins. Learn Admin tips & tricks to improve your WordPress installation & productivity.
Intermediate/Advanced Developers: Advanced discussion & practical presentation enhanced interoperability topics (API’s development & integration, advanced themes & plugin development, etc.)

WordShop (WordPress Workshop) being held on May 5th at UNR
University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is sponsoring a one-day WordPress workshop at the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center on Saturday, May 5th starting at 10AM.
All current UNR faculty, staff & students are invited to attend (please reserve your seat and show UNR ID at the door). The event is also open to the public for a nominal fee of $20 (Promo Code = HALFOFF to get 50% off; limited offering). Seats are limited, please reserve now.
The Reno WordPress Meetup Group is organizing the event and providing presentations and instructions to all level of users from the beginner with no experience to the advanced designer and developer.

UNR and Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center Agrees to Host WordCamp 2012
University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) has agreed to host the 2012 Reno-Tahoe WordCamp. The two-day event will be hosted at the state-of-the art Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center located on the UNR campus.
The dates have been set for Saturday and Sunday, June 30th and July 1st. The Reno WordPress Users Group is organizing the event. Please contact us to attend, participate or become a sponsor.
What is WordCamp?
Reno-Tahoe WordCamp is a two-day community conference for WordPress users, developers, designers, and marketing and advertising professionals from all around Reno, Lake Tahoe, and the surrounding area to meet, mingle, and learn about WordPress.
Local and national speakers have been invited to lead the seminar/workshop-styled conference that will focused on helping businesses, individuals and organizations to increase their effectiveness and results using WordPress.
WordCamp is designed to help all levels of WordPress users — novice to advanced.
The 2012 Reno-Tahoe WordCamp will be held on Saturday & Sunday, June 30th & July 1st at the University of Nevada, Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center.
