There are over 46 hotels in the Reno area. Those hotels closest to the WordCamp location will be in the Reno Downtown area, such as:

Other hotels such as the Grand Sierra Resort, the Atlantis Casino Resort and John Ascuaga’s Nugget are also popular destinations but are a considerable distance from the WordCamp venue when compared to the downtown hotels.

Shuttle Bus from Reno Downtown area to the UNR Campus

If you are staying in a hotel downtown, the Sierra Spirit free bus makes several stops along the Virginia Street downtown area (7 AM to 7 PM) and stops in front of the UNR Student Union next door to Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center.
